Hey guys!

Over Memorial Day my blogger bestie, Audrie Storme, and I headed over to Santa Barbara for a little road trip. We stayed at the bohemian, hipster, and super cool 'The Goodland Hotel.' Our time here was short, only 1 night, but I immediately fell in love with the decor. I loved it so much I had to do a hotel tour! Hope you enjoy!

Hi!

My name is Karen Alexandra Farber. I am a Peruvian (born in Lima) raised in the US and currently living in Long Beach, California. I am married to a wonderful guy named Nick and have 2 furry babies (dogs) - Milo and Mia. My first true love was the beach, Nick came after :) My blog's name "Little Black Shell" is for my love of the beach and seashells. When I was little I would spend hours walking along the coast collecting seashells. I still do this whenever I spend a full day at the beach. It's definitely my happy place!

Apart from being a beach bum I also LOVE to travel and share my experiences with you all on here, Instagram, and the blog! Last year (2016) Nick and I broke our apartment lease, sold our cars and the rest of our belongings, and embarked on a 6 month around-the-world trip that changed both of our lives. We only had a backpack each and a whole lot of wanderlust. We did a full loop around the globe spending a few months in Europe, then South East Asia, and finally going "down unda" to Australia. Now that we are back in California, that love for travel has not faded and so I have made it my mission to spend the rest of my life traveling near and far, exploring every inch of this beautiful planet and sharing the wanderlust with you all!
