Kata Noi Beach Phuket Thailand 2015

Kata Noi beach is 15-20 minutes motorbike drive from Patong area and just after the Kata beach. You can walk Kata Noi beach from Kata beach in 20-25 minutes but I have to say it is not easy to walk at 30-35 C.

Kata Noi beach is small but not very crowded (even peak season) because somehow not many tourists know this beach. The other reason why Kata Noi is not crowded there is one big resort hotel (Katathani Phuket Beach Resort) covers all Kata Noi bay and not many hotel options.

Best time to visit Kata Noi is between end of February - middle of March. Sea is calm and not many waves at this time. Monsoon season (May to October) beach is popular spot for surfers because waves are getting higher. Swimming can be dangerous during this period.

You can find beach vendors and rent 2 mats and 1 umbrella for 200 Baht. There is a small cafe/bar/restaurant (typical Thai style) at the south end of the beach and their "pad thai" is not bad.
