Tai-Pan Hotel Bangkok

The Tai Pan Hotel is distinctly recognisable from Sukhumvit Road at Asoke.
Built in the 1970s it's one of the Vietnam War Era Hotels that sprang up in Bangkok during those heady times.
Just off Sukhumvit Road on Soi 23, it's within easy walking distance of Soi Cowboy, Terminal 21 and Robinson Department Store.
Nowadays newer skyscrapers tower above it but it still has a presence in the small soi it now dominates.
Inside the Hotel a reception lobby greets you.
The first thing I noticed about the hotel reception is that it's wheelchair-friendly. As to the left of the polished tiled steps a carpeted-ramp leads you down.
The reception folk are cordial but polite.
Free WiFi is available in all the Hotel according to the staff.
Two lifts run up and down the sixteen floors.
